Things people usually ask first
Do I need to have a clean, labelled dataset before reaching out?
No. Many engagements begin with a data review as the first step. We can work with messy, incomplete, or partially labelled data and advise on what preparation is needed before modelling — or whether any of it is necessary at all.
How long does a typical project take?
Timelines depend on the engagement type. A proof of concept usually takes one to two weeks once data is available. A model evaluation is typically completed within two to three weeks. Full custom model development varies based on complexity but is usually scoped in the initial workshop.
We already have a data science team. Can you still help?
Often, yes. Teams with internal capability find the most value in the evaluation engagement — an independent review of a model your team built surfaces blind spots that internal reviewers can miss. We work alongside your team rather than replacing it.
What happens to our data during the project?
All data shared with Nolux is handled under a mutual non-disclosure agreement and used solely for the project scope. We do not retain your data after project completion, and all access credentials are revoked at handover. Data handling terms are included in every project agreement.
Will the proof of concept work tell us enough to make a decision?
That's the intent. The PoC is designed to give you an honest signal — including the cases where the data or problem isn't a good fit for ML at this stage. We'd rather give you a clear "not yet" than a flattering prototype that doesn't hold up under scrutiny.
Do you only serve clients in Singapore?
Our office is in Singapore and most of our clients are based across APAC. We can work fully remotely for teams in other time zones, particularly for evaluation and PoC engagements where in-person workshops are not necessary.
What is included in the price shown for each service?
Prices shown are the base engagement fee and cover all deliverables listed in the service description. For custom model development, scope variations may affect the final figure, which is agreed during the initial workshop. There are no hidden costs for standard deliverables.
